ELIGIBILITY RULES

At least one key member of the Musical Act/Group must currently be enrolled at a US college or University.

All genres and sub-genres of music and/or live entertainment artistry are accepted and encouraged. Musicians, Singers Rappers, DJs, Dancers, Producers, Live Visual Artists, Acapella Groups, and Live Performers of any entertainment genre are welcome and encouraged!

PROCESS & JUDGING

Step 1: Register and create a free account

Step 2: Create a Profile by signing up using your email, then uploading a video and connecting other social media accounts to profile.

Step 3: Share your Profile and get friends and fans to Vote for you

Step 4: Selection: In selected regions of the country, the top collegiate-artists showcase on stage for prizing. Multiple judge selections, along with the most popular artist on the web site receive entry to their Regional Showcase*

SELECTION

The top online vote getter (as of 72 hours before the event) gets an automatic selection into a live regional showcase in announced regions of the country. All votes are subject to qualification and review, to ensure legitimate voting. We reserve the right to disqualify any participant where, in our sole discretion, we believe cheating was involved.

For the judge selections, music industry professionals along with the show producers choose two or more artists to compete in each Regional Showcase, along with the online vote leader at the time of submission deadline, to comprise 3-4 (or more) college Artists performing live at each showcase.

LIVE SHOWCASE JUDGE CRITERIA

Judging is based on three criteria: 1) Originality, 2) Strength of Performance, and 3) Overall Artist Potential.

PRIZES

In addition to awesome exposure, Advancing Artists also take home prizes. 2019 Prizes to be announced soon. For Florida State University, Texas State University, and University of Oregon events in Spring Semester 2019, the live showcase winner at each event will received a $600 Amazon gift card.
